What is a portfolio look-through analysis?

Look-through analysis reveals what you actually own underneath your ETFs. Instead of just seeing 'I hold SPY and QQQ,' you see the effective exposure to each underlying stock after accounting for how much of each ETF you hold and how each ETF weights its positions.

What is fund overlap and how is it calculated?

Fund overlap measures how much two ETFs invest in the same underlying holdings. Our tool calculates overlap by weight: for each shared holding, we take the lesser of the two funds' weights and sum those values. A high overlap score means the two funds largely replicate each other — useful for spotting redundancy when stacking index ETFs.

Holdings are sourced from SEC N-PORT filings and updated on a periodic schedule — not live intraday. Each ETF shows an as-of date when results are displayed. Holdings data reflects the most recent filings loaded into our database.
