Privacy Policy
Last updated: May 26, 2026
Getz Enterprises, LLC ("us", "we", or "our") operates the customstockalerts.com website and the related applications, tools, and services (the "Service"). This Privacy Policy describes the information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. Capitalized terms used here have the meaning set out in our Terms of Service.
Information We Collect
We collect the following categories of information about you:
- Account information. When you create an account we collect your email address, your password (stored as a salted hash), and any optional information you choose to provide such as a name, phone number for SMS alerts, or notification preferences.
- Billing information. If you purchase a Subscription, payment data (including your card number) is collected and processed by Stripe, our payment processor. We do not store full card numbers on our servers. We do receive and store limited billing metadata from Stripe (such as the last four digits of your card, your billing ZIP, your subscription plan, and your billing history) so that we can show your billing status and send invoices.
- Service data. Information you create while using the Service, for example, alert configurations, saved comparisons, saved tickers, and feedback, is stored in our account so that we can provide the Service to you.
- Log data. When you visit the Service, your browser and our servers automatically record information including IP address, browser type and version, the pages and features you use, the time and date of your visit, the referring URL, and similar diagnostic data. We use log data to operate, secure, and improve the Service.
- Cookies and similar technologies. See "Cookies and Similar Technologies" below.
- Information from third-party identity providers. If you sign in using Google Sign-In, Google provides us with a minimal profile (such as your email address and name). We do not receive your Google password. The data we receive is governed by Google's privacy policy in addition to this one.
How We Use Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, operate, secure, and improve the Service;
- Authenticate your account and prevent fraud and abuse;
- Process payments and manage Subscriptions;
- Deliver alerts and notifications you have requested by email or SMS;
- Communicate with you about your account, including service announcements, billing notices, and material changes to these policies;
- Respond to your support requests, feedback, and inquiries;
- Measure and analyze how the Service is used so that we can improve it;
- Comply with applicable law and respond to lawful requests from authorities.
Cookies and Similar Technologies
We and our service providers use cookies, browser local storage, and similar technologies for the following purposes:
- Strictly necessary. Authentication tokens (JWTs), CSRF protection, session state, and lightweight caches (for example, the cached values used by our navigation bar market indicators). The Service does not function without these.
- Preferences. User-interface preferences such as table sort and display options, where applicable.
- Analytics. See "Analytics" below.
- Advertising. See "Advertising" below.
You can control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling strictly necessary cookies will prevent you from logging in or using some features of the Service.
Third-Party Services
We rely on the following third-party service providers, each governed by its own privacy policy:
- Stripe (payment processing) - https://stripe.com/privacy. Stripe is the data controller for payment-card data.
- Google Sign-In (federated authentication) - https://policies.google.com/privacy.
- Google reCAPTCHA (bot and abuse protection on our signup form) - https://policies.google.com/privacy and https://policies.google.com/terms. reCAPTCHA collects information about your device and behavior on our site in order to distinguish humans from bots.
- Google Analytics (web analytics), see "Analytics" below.
- Google AdSense (advertising), see "Advertising" below.
- Email and SMS delivery vendors. We use third-party email and SMS providers to deliver alerts, notifications, and transactional messages (such as password resets). We share with these providers only the information needed to deliver the message (for example, your email address or phone number and the message contents).
- Hosting and infrastructure providers (such as Amazon Web Services). These providers process data on our behalf under their standard data-processing terms.
- Market data providers (such as Tiingo and similar). We send these providers ticker symbols and similar query parameters; we do not send personal information.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 (and Google Tag Manager to load it) to understand how visitors use the Service. Google Analytics may set cookies and collect information including your IP address, the pages you visit, the actions you take, your device and browser type, and approximate location. Google's use of this data is governed by Google's privacy policy. You can opt out of Google Analytics by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on or by using your browser's tracking-prevention features.
Advertising
We display advertising on the Service through Google AdSense. Google and its advertising partners may use cookies and similar technologies to serve ads based on your prior visits to our Service or to other websites. Information collected by these advertising technologies includes, for example, identifiers, IP address, device information, and inferred interests.
You can control how Google personalizes the ads you see at https://www.google.com/settings/ads. You can also opt out of personalized advertising from many participating networks at https://www.aboutads.info/choices/ and https://www.youronlinechoices.com.
Email and Text Message Notifications
If you opt in to email or SMS alerts, we will send you messages based on the alert configurations you create, for example, when a stock you are watching reaches a price you set, or before an ex-dividend date. Message frequency depends on your alert configuration. Message and data rates may apply for SMS, depending on your mobile carrier and plan; we are not responsible for those charges.
You can change your notification preferences at any time from your My Account page. You can stop receiving SMS messages from us at any time by replying STOP to one of our messages, and you can stop receiving email alerts by updating your preferences or by contacting support@customstockalerts.com. Transactional messages (such as password-reset emails or billing notices) are required to operate your account and cannot be turned off without closing your account.
How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information for money. We share personal information only as described below:
- Service providers. With the third-party service providers listed above, only to the extent needed to deliver the Service (for example, sending an email address to our email provider so that the provider can deliver an alert to you).
- Legal compliance. When required to do so by law, subpoena, court order, or similar legal process, or when we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect the security or integrity of the Service, our users, or the public, or to investigate fraud or violations of our Terms of Service.
- Business transfers. If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you of any such change in ownership or control of your personal information.
- Advertising partners. Google and its advertising partners receive advertising-related information as described above under "Advertising." Depending on applicable law, certain interactions with these partners may be treated as "sharing" for cross-context behavioral advertising. You can manage your choices using the controls described in that section.
Your Choices and Rights
You have the following choices:
- Access and update. You can review and update most of your account information from your My Account page.
- Notification preferences. You can opt out of alert emails and SMS messages as described above.
- Cookies and ads. You can manage cookies and ad personalization through your browser and the controls described above under "Analytics" and "Advertising."
- Deleting your account. To request deletion of your account and the personal information we hold about you, email support@customstockalerts.com from the email address on file. We will confirm your request and complete the deletion within a reasonable period, subject to information we are required to retain (such as billing records for tax and accounting purposes).
- State privacy rights. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights, such as the right to know what personal information we have about you, the right to correct or delete it, the right to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information (see "Advertising" above), and the right to be free from retaliation for exercising these rights. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at support@customstockalerts.com and identify the right you want to exercise. We will verify your request before responding, typically by confirming your email address against the one on file.
- EU/UK users. If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, you may have additional rights under the GDPR or UK GDPR, including rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, and objection. The legal bases on which we rely include performance of a contract with you (to provide the Service), legitimate interests (to operate, secure, and improve the Service), and your consent (where you have provided it, such as for SMS notifications and certain advertising cookies).
Data Retention
We retain your account information for as long as your account is active. After you close or delete your account we delete or anonymize your personal information within a reasonable period, except for information we are required to retain by law or for legitimate business reasons (such as billing records, fraud prevention, or pending support requests). Server logs are retained for a limited period as part of our ordinary information-technology operations.
Security
The security of your information is important to us, and we implement and maintain reasonable, commercially appropriate security procedures and practices to protect personal information from unauthorized access, destruction, use, modification, or disclosure. We use HTTPS for transport encryption and salted password hashing for stored passwords, among other measures. No method of transmission over the internet, and no method of electronic storage, is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee the absolute security of personal information.
If we become aware of a security incident that affects your personal information, we will notify you and any applicable regulators as required by law.
International Transfer
Your information, including personal information, may be transferred to and maintained on computers located outside of your state, province, or country, where the data-protection laws may differ from those of your jurisdiction. Our primary infrastructure is located in the United States. If you are located outside the United States and choose to provide information to us, please note that we transfer the information, including personal information, to the United States and process it there. Your continued use of the Service after we have provided this notice constitutes your acknowledgment of that transfer.
Children's Privacy
Only persons aged 18 or older have permission to access the Service. The Service is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and you believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take steps to delete the information.
Links to Other Sites
The Service may contain links to other sites that are not operated by us. If you click on a third-party link you will be directed to that third party's site. We strongly advise you to review the Privacy Policy of every site you visit. We have no control over, and assume no responsibility for, the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party sites or services.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page and update the "Last updated" date. If we make material changes we will provide additional notice, by email, by a banner or notice within the Service, or both, in advance of the change taking effect. Your continued use of the Service after the updated Privacy Policy takes effect constitutes your acceptance of the changes.
